Sabbaticals

Sabbaticals are traditionally offered to tenured faculty after a period of service. Sabbaticals are normally used to engage in a process for new or continued research, writing, professional travel, reflection, and renewal.

The Institute is interested in a reciprocal relationship through which we can further the development of the visiting scholar and derive value and learning from our guest(s). Currently, all sabbaticals are online. But for visitors who might wish to spend a sabbatical in residence at a future time, the Institute cannot provide housing accommodations. We will, however, assist in providing information about local accommodation options. Typically, there is one sabbatical available during each academic year.  The application deadline is June 15th.

Sabbaticals are open to faculty from any regionally accredited institution or a related higher education association or organization with a formal sabbatical policy for employees.
